Registration & Refund Policy

Camp4Kids is pleased to offer two camp programs in 2024 again. Complete registration, waiver, are required for ALL campers.  We have designed the process to be as user-friendly as possible. Please pay close attention to due dates and payment/refund information as applicable.

REGISTRATION POLICY

 

CAMP OAKES is open to campers ages 8-17.  

After you register, you will be sent a link to download only two pages.  Please do so immediately and get this medical form filled out as quickly as possible. This form must be filled out by your doctor and signed by both the doctor and you, where indicated.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at: Register@camp4kids.org or info@camp4kids.org and we will gladly help you.​ Please pay attention to when payment is due.  If you have not paid your full outstanding balance for camp by June 30th, your credit card will be charged for the full outstanding balance the following morning.  Please make sure you are prepared for this!  In order to help many parents, we have set up a number of monthly payment options, and camperships (scholarships for a portion of the costs) may be available.  For your protection and ours, we do not accept cash or checks.

CAMP RONALD McDONALD FOR GOOD TIMES is exclusively for Patients in CHOC's Cancer Program and their siblings who are from the same household, ages 9-17.

(CHOC patients should consult their oncologist; siblings should see their primary care doctor.) Attendance at Camp Ronald McDonald is underwritten from various sources, including donations, so there is no cost to families. However, DONATIONS ARE MOST WELCOME so that we can include as many campers as possible.

 

REFUND POLICY FOR CAMP OAKES

Our fee includes all meals, activities, transportation, pictures, shirts, lodging and a lot of fun. There is no need for your child to bring money to camp as there is nothing there for them to buy.  Our fee is all-inclusive. Camp4Kids does not require an additional membership, programming or association fee.

 

If you cancel at any time before April 1st, you will receive a full refund. After April 1st, no portion of your registration fee and/or deposit will be returned.  You will receive NO refund for family plan vacation (instead of going to camp) or for a camper who is sent home due to illness, behavior issues, accident or site evacuation.  (Camp4Kids has already paid Camp who has ordered and received the food needed for your child that week, paid for site staff who support us all week, and made transportation and program arrangements for your child in advance.)

POLICY ON MEDICAL EXAMS AND IMMUNIZATIONS RECORDS

Camp4Kids is always looking for ways to keep the cost of camp down to parents.  This last year our cost increased over 19%.  To help parent save money in these turbulent times, we have decided to forgo having them spend the additional cost to have their child go to a doctor for a physical exam.  So long as your child comes to camp healthy and you (the parents) are certain they have not been exposed to anything else, we will not requiring a physical exam.

We will ask (if you chose to do so) to supply us with your child immunization records. 

​

When you drop your child off, we will ask you to sign a consent form (which was previously on the health form) along with a list of any medication your child is taking which we will give to our health professionals to administrate.

Please be advised that our camp is NOT BILINGUAL in nature and English is the primary language spoken
