UPDATE DECEMBER 25, 2020 FROM CAMP4KIDS’ CEO, RON CLEAR
Due to the continuing changes by the State of California, the increasing and the number of cases throughout the State, we have decided that for this coming year we will push the opening day of signups back to at least March 1, 2021, at the very earliest. At the moment Covid-19 cases are up, and many of us are waiting for the release of a vaccines, please take the time to go the site listed below for up-to-date information.
We will continue to keep you update as we learn more.
We are optimistic that we will have a camp next year, but we may be limited in the number of children we can take.
Our goal is to have a series of informational meetings with the parents so that we can hear your concerns, answer questions, gather your opinions, and give you firsthand updates on what we know as of that time. We will be setting these meeting dates for January 1, and 18, 2021. Please make sure you join us for more information about camp 2021.
Please keep checking back for more information.
Welcome to Camp4Kids where memories are made
Camp4Kids, provides a nurturing environment for campers, enhancing their sense of competence and self-worth. Our goal is to help each camper develop: respect for one’s self and others; courage to face new challenges; lifelong friendships; and an appreciation of life and of family.
Camp4Kids is American Camp Association (ACA) accredited for management, operations and programs, living to a higher standard.
Camp4Kids is a non-traditional resident summer camp program which will make your child's camping experience one that they will never forget! Your camper will have the opportunity to take part in over 32 activities and special events throughout the week at Camp Oakes, which is more than most other camps offer in twice the time.
For those going to Camp4Kids - CHOC's, you will have the same opportunities to sleep out under the stars, learn how to cook, and to participate in so many other exciting activities. This part of camp is for patients and their siblings coming from CHOC.
Camp4Kids' community service programs are designed for older campers (14-17) who wish to learn the value of giving back to their community and helping those in need. These programs are completely voluntary. This program should be viewed as another tool to help participants become more enlightened by the humanity of sharing from their heart, a gift that is free but extremely rewarding when done without any expectation. For those who participate, they are also given credit for the time they spend helping others. These community credit hours can be useful when applying to college.
If you have fond memories of going to summer camp as a kid or you are just curious about camp, you're in luck. It's not only possible as an adult to spend a weekend reliving those fun days canoeing, fishing, and gathering around a campfire to roast s'mores, but you can even bring the whole family.
Spending a weekend at our family camp making great memories enjoying outdoor fun during the day and collegiality with friends and family at night. Can you even imagine a weekend without a phone or texting? By the end of the weekend you might even wonder why you have a phone!
What people are saying about us!
Ashley R. This was a first for my kids. 3 of my 4 children got to go. Just seeing how happy they look through here makes my heart melt. The fact that you all were able to be part of their journey in making wonderful memories is such a blessing. Truly appreciate you all for giving my kids memories they will cherish forever! You guys are the best !!! God bless you all .
Marzena W. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to make our children this happy! We haven’t heard the stories yet but the pictures showed how much they loved it. I’m speaking for all the parents because when I saw each picture and every kid, those faces couldn’t lie, they were simply ecstatic! You did a fantastic job and thank you for keeping them safe and helping them make these lifelong memories. ❤️
Cindy W. I appreciate the character-building you do. Especially important for my young teen boy, giving them tools to get along and evaluate their choices, reflecting on themselves. I see a difference in him every year.
Stacey M. Thank you for all you do for these kids!!!!
Miki A. Keep doing what you’re doing!! It works and my daughter and her friends have a blast every year!
Monique G. This camp is so amazing my son came home so excited to tell me the songs he learned, the games he played, about Chapel and even cleaning his cabin. Thank you so much to all the counselors and everyone involved that makes it possible for these kids, will definitely be sending my boys next year.
Margaret S. When your child gets home, isn’t even in the car yet and says “I’m going back next year” you know this is a great place. The amazing updates, the care of the staff, the irreplaceable memories and lifelong friendships are what sets this camp apart from others. They genuinely care about your child and the time they have while at camp. We can’t wait to go back!
