Since 2010, Camp4Kids has been creating life-changing summer experiences for children and teens throughout Southern California. We are a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit, built by people who believe in the magic of camp to help kids grow, lead, and belong.
What makes us unique? Many of our counselors, directors, and staff were once campers themselves — kids who grew up in this program and are now giving back to the next generation. It’s more than a camp — it’s a family that keeps growing year after year.
Who We Are
Camp4Kids is a traditional resident summer camp where kids unplug from screens and plug into real-world fun! Nestled in the great outdoors, our camp is packed with nearly 20 awesome activities — from fishing and hiking to color runs, dance parties, and cozy campfires under the stars. We’ve designed every moment to spark curiosity, build confidence, and create friendships that sparkle long after summer ends.
Our passionate team is 100% volunteer-powered — from counselors to leaders — all sharing one big goal: help every kid feel brave, included, and capable of amazing things!
The Camp Experience at Camp Oakes
A Week Packed with Adventure and Connection
Nestled among the pines of Big Bear, Camp Oakes offers the perfect backdrop for our unforgettable week together. Campers stay in cozy cabins, eat hearty camp meals, and fill their days with activities designed to challenge, inspire, and unite.

For The Parents
We know letting your camper head off for a week can be a big moment — and we honor that trust. Our experienced volunteers are background-checked and trained, and camper safety is our #1 priority. But we also believe in letting kids be kids: exploring nature, discovering new talents, and returning home with a glow in their heart and great stories to tell.
You don’t have to be “good” at anything to come to Camp4Kids.
You just have to be YOU.
